Brass hourglass with case
A symbol of transience
The hourglass, also known as a sand clock, is one of the oldest objects used to measure time. Widely used to regulate life on board of ships, its adjustment was made in conjunction with the astrolabe, at the peak of the sun, when the weather allowed it. This object, full of history and symbolism, can be used as a timer or as a beautiful decorative object.
