Astrolabe Aveiro with wooden base
Reproduction of the oldest Portuguese astrolabe, as attested by the mark of five small circles in a cross, in the year of 1575. Found in the Ria de Aveiro (Aveiro lagoon) in 1994, it is now part of the emblematic collection of the Maritime Museum, in Lisbon.
